上海体育馆的两种英文说法

黑夜给了我一双黑色的眼睛，我却用它们找茬。
最近发现上海体育馆站有两个不同的英文名字，地铁中，上海体育馆站被译为：shanghai indoor stadium

而在地面，零陵路上的站牌上，上海体育馆站的英文则显示为：shanghai gymnasium

两种翻译都有体育馆之意，但为什么同一个站点使用两种英文说法？难道是在举一反三？
